Cantina La Cava

La Cava belongs to the oldest wineries in the Riparbella region in the heart of Tuscany’s beautiful cost line. The first documented beginning of La Cava dates to the mid of the 19th century. Around 1960 the winery was no longer in operation, the family who had lived here for generations, had no succession and sold the estate – which was then only used as private home with minimal wine and olive oil production. The wine yards were mostly abandoned, and nature gained back the terroir.

When I first visited La Cava in November 2014, I fell in love with the land, the nature, the Olive trees, the abandoned landscape, and decided to buy without any further thinking. I imagined this would be the perfect place to realize my childhood dream…. After many years of planning, significant investments and hard work, La Cava offers a great wine cellar, a place to hang out and enjoy wine tastings, a landscape with wine yards, and our home for the family.

Sustainability has been the scheme for all our thoughts throughout the project. Working with biodynamic methods, not using chemistry, being Carbon neutral – simply creating a natural, healthy place supporting an integrated way of living together with nature.

Please be warmly welcomed at La Cava!
